Putting together an outfit that you feel comfortable in and looks great is not always an easy thing to do. It is an even more difficult mission for a woman who has a closet full of clothing but feels as if she still has absolutely nothing to wear. Time and money are important for Revamping a Wardrobe

First off it is probably best to clean your closet out around a time that you are able to get new things to balance out the items you will be getting rid of. This makes it best to do when you have extra money to shop for new items that will properly revamp your wardrobe. It is also important to have about a full day and not rush the process.

Invite a Fashion-Forward Friend

It may also be a good idea to invite a fashion-forward friend or family member that can help you decide on what items you should keep and items you should definitely do away with. A second pair of eyes will also be able to point out both good and bad things about different clothing items that you many not notice yourself.

Keep an Open Mind on Getting Rid of Old Clothing

Doing away with garments you may have had for years may not be the easiest thing to do, but make sure to keep an open mind and to avoid stressing out on throwing away clothing you haven’t worn in years and items that don’t flatter your body type.

Make Sure to do Trend Researching

It is also a good to have ideas on the looks you’re going for before setting out to the mall or stores to shop for your new garments. If possible, take the time to do minor research on styles that you like and will flatter your body. Also keep in mind that just because something is in style, doesn’t mean it is the perfect look for you.

Avoid Fitting-Room Laziness

When shopping for items to revamp your newly cleaned closet, make sure to try everything on. It is time consuming and sometimes you may feel like visualizing the fit, skipping the dressing room and heading straight for the checkout.

It’s too bad that this method doesn’t always work, take out the extra time and effort to try things on in the store and really examine how they look on you. This will prevent later hassles of possibly having to exchange or return items.
